Online Classes

As an experiential educator living through the early Covid lockdown, Jonah brought his place based educational approach to the world of online learning. For the last four years Jonah has been part of a team of facilitators and curriculum designers who have been innovating what online learning can look like, not through the use of module based technologies, but through their commitment to a set of human centered design principles. Jonah is currently teaching the following courses in collaboration with the IDEA, NIF, and Shoreline Consulting.

This course is designed for white educators who are looking for support and accountability as they work to embody antiracism in their daily personal practice and at the schools/institutions they are part of. Individuals in any role in education or work with youth are encouraged to apply.

This course is for Jewish Educators who want to think deeply about how to engage young people around both the war and the broader conversation around what is happening in Israel/Palestine. This eight-session course, rooted in the content and philosophy of NIF’s 2019 curriculum: Breaking Binaries, Building Connections will prepare Jewish Educators with skills, practices, and content they can bring back to their educational institutions and the young people they serve.

This 12 session course offers an in-depth practice space focusing on what it takes to marry action, reflection and practice; it offers gentle yet firm provocation to catalyze tangible action in the form of practices and approaches toward just systems. We link current knowledge and practices to new ways of approaching the work that leverages the strength and wisdom of those in the room.
